Vision For School-Wide ELD
Station Rotation Model:
A Case Study in EL-Centered School Improvement
“We assert that it will take a collaborative effort and widely dispersed leadership to meet the challenges confronting our schools, and we stress that virtually everyone who has elected to enter the field of education has the potential to lead.”
-DuFour & Marzano
In this model, students in small flexible groups speak, write, interact, read and listen as they rotate learning stations designed to build proficiency in grade level content and academic English.
Our leadership recipe for improvement is fueled by research-based resources in professional learning communities, strategic planning, English language development, collaborating and
co-teaching with the learner in mind.
LSI specializes in helping schools and districts envision
how the roles of EL teachers and general educators coalesce to create equitable school wide conditions for all students to learn grade level content and academic English, simultaneously.
